Silex Street: 6-year-old girl hit by van

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 6-year-old girl suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a van in Silex Street.

Police were called to Silex Street at 11.50am on Bank Holiday Monday.

The injured child was taken to a south London hospital where her condition was described as serious.

London's Air Ambulance landed in Mint Street Park.

The van driver stopped at the scene. No-one has been arrested in connection with the collision.

Anyone who witnessed this collision or has information is asked to call the Met's Catford Traffic Garage on 020 8285 1574 or 101.
