The suspect ran away after stealing cash, a key and the woman's jacket.

The suspect is described as a black man, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 6ft tall, of average build, with brown eyes and short dark hair. He spoke with an 'English accent'.

After the attack, the woman was taken back to the hostel by a male passer-by – who is seen in the image – who interrupted the attack.

Officers would like to speak to this man.
