London SE1 website team

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a man received life-changing injuries when he was attacked on London Bridge earlier this month.

The man was walking alone across London Bridge on the east pavement at about 11pm on Wednesday 15 May when he was approached by two strangers and violently assaulted.

The strangers, both men, described as in their late twenties and of Middle Eastern or North African appearance, are believed to have crossed the road to the west pavement of London Bridge, towards the Barrow Boy & Banker pub and Borough Market, following the assault.

The suspects were well dressed and well groomed. They both had short hair and one man had short, trimmed facial hair.

Anyone with information about this attack, or anyone who may have witnessed it, is encouraged to contact the City of London Police on 020 7601 2999 quoting the crime reference number 19000248622.

Alternatively information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers via their website or by calling 0800 555 111.
