Grandchildren of the Blitz

Since February 2010, the young people of Bermondsey, Rotherhithe and Deptford have been interviewing elders in the local community about their wartime childhood.

During this conversation, members of London Bubble will be talking about the project and presenting their website containing the interviews, a bomb damage map of the local area, our photo gallery, profiles of interviewees and interviewers.

Come along if local history interests you. Come along if theatre and stories interest you. Everyone is very welcome.

They will also be talking about the play that has emerged from the elders’ stories: Blackbirds.
