King's Health Partners Cancer Centre Exhibition

A new Cancer Centre will open at Guy's Hospital in 2015. The centre will provide the majority of the trust's cancer services to patients in new state-of-the art facilities.

Following a competition to select the team to design the new centre the winning team from Laing O'Rourke, Rogers Stirk Harbour, Anshen & Allen have been working with staff and patients to build on the winning proposals and develop more detailed designs for the new centre.

The proposed design delivers an innovative building, broken down into five 'villages' stacked together, that will ensure that all of the facilities needed for any particular treatment are provided in an open and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Subject to planning permission, it is anticipated that construction will start at the end of 2012, with completion expected in 2015.
