Evening walk with old maps round The Borough led by Ken Titmuss.
Work your way across a former industrial landscape of old warehouses, burial grounds and sweeping railway arches. Close by some excellent examples of Octavia Hill housing, you will come across the old St Saviour's Workhouse, though there is nothing there to tell us that, except the maps we work from.
Trace where the young Charles Dickens lodged in Lant Street and using old maps identify the location of both Marshalsea Prisons. Walk ends at the only surviving galleried inn in London.
