Blackfriars Road is being visited by a huge mechanical elephant who will be roaming streets and green spaces in search of food, friends and fun.
Trunk Road is created and produced by outdoor arts company Emergency Exit Arts as part of Blackfriars Stories, an events programme commissioned by Southwark Council.
Everyone can join in the elephant's adventures throughout the afternoon and discover hidden gems along the back streets and squares in the area.
The elephant's visit kicks off with a Carnival Parade created with Friars Primary School in Webber Street followed by a series of garden parties in Peabody Square, Styles House and Christ Church gardens.
Enjoy the celebrations as the elephant is welcomed by street entertainers and live music with games, gardening, arts and crafts, strawberries and ice cream.
