CLPE is holding an open day during Family Learning Week with sessions that enable families to 'share a story'. The focus of the drop-in workshops is to enable parents to develop literacy skills with their children, through the use of games, storytelling and ICT. All parents and carers with primary-aged children are invited to join this event.

Family Learning Week is an annual event that focuses on adults and children learning together in the community. For CLPE however, the learning of parents is supported year round through the delivery of family learning programmes including family literacy and numeracy workshops and courses in Southwark primary schools. To help take family learning right to the heart of the community CLPE also delivers learning from its centre in Borough and Bankside as well as working in partnership to deliver learning from libraries and health centres.
