Formed in 1931 by organist and education visionary Ernest Read, Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra is one of London's leading community orchestras. Comprising conservatoire students, professionals at the start of their careers and accomplished amateurs, the Orchestra gives five concerts a year, tackling a range of ambitious repertoire to an impressive standard.
The Orchestra champions developmental opportunities for emerging conductors and performers, and remains committed to giving concerts for children.
