The Queen's annual Christmas Day message to the Commonwealth was recorded at Southwark Cathedral, Buckingham Palace has revealed.
The Queen's broadcast this year focuses on the relationship between different generations, what old and young have to offer each other, how all faiths highlight the need to nurture and guide young people and to encourage respect for elderly people.
The Christmas message – which was recorded at Southwark Cathedral and produced by ITN – will be broadcast in the UK at 3pm on Monday 25 December.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh paid a separate visit to Southwark last month for the unveiling of a memorial to a Mohegan chief buried in the cathedral churchyard.
This year's message will be available as a podcast from www.royal.gov.uk
