Gladstone Arms drops "ludicrous" Pegz N "Frazes" name
The new operators of the Gladstone Arms have dropped plans to use the name Pegz N "Frazes" when the much-loved Lant Street pub reopens this spring.
The pub has been closed since last October, but last month entrepreneurs Megha Khanna, Gaurav Khanna and Abhinav Saxena announced that they would soon be opening the doors using the name Pegz N "Frazes"
Reaction to the new name was mixed, with Good Beer Guide editor Roger Protz describing the decision to rebrand The Glad as "ludicrous".
Now the website and social media accounts for Pegz N "Frazes" have been replaced with pages simply titled Gladstone Arms.
Representatives of the pub's new operators did not respond to a request for comment on the change of heart.
