Open Studios

A chance to visit the artists' studios run by ASC at Erlang House in Blackfriars Road, 235-341 Union Street and 38-40 Glasshill Street.

Erlang House on Blackfriars Road boasts 129 studios, a gallery space and other display areas that for the occasion will be hosting a group exhibition, special events and talks.

The Meeting Room will host the collaborative projects Open Shelves, curated by Kate Morell and Hannah Warren, a temporary reference library generated from books on loan from artists in Erlang House which, displaying books chosen for their high visual content, encourages an exchange of visual material and ideas between practices at ASC studios.

20x20, curated by Nick Turvey, will give the public the opportunity to attend a series of ultra-brief presentations, based on the Pecha Kucha idea. Each artist gets 20 slides and 20 seconds to talk about each one, so a total length of just under 5 minutes, resulting in a quick fire representation of thoughts and ideas.
