A replica of a Victorian shop sign that formed one of the landmarks on the young Charles Dickens' regular walk through Southwark has been unveiled by the writer's great-great-grandson.
Six developers have been shortlisted in the competition to build a stalled 44-storey skyscraper scheme at the Elephant & Castle.
Around a decade will have passed since the last Eurostar train left Waterloo International before all five of the disused platforms are brought back into use for domestic trains, the Government signalled this week.
The architect of the Shard has said that the admission price for the skyscraper's viewing gallery is "too expensive".
