Mayor of London Boris Johnson came to the Millennium Bridge on Thursday to launch the week-long Big Dance festival.
The Mayor was joined by Strictly Come Dancing stars Erin Boag and Bruno Tonioli and 50 dancers from a range of disciplines to launch the London-wide festival of dance.
Local Big Dance highlights include a week of free open-air dance performances at The Scoop next to City Hall.
On Sunday 6 July Sculpture in Motion, a new dance inspired by Azam's The Dance sculpture on the South Bank, will be performed on the County Hall terrace.
And on Monday evening the participatory event TangoCommute will come to all the bridges between Westminster Bridge and Tower Bridge as well as London Bridge Station and Waterloo Station.
The week ends with a family event – Primary Bank Big Dance – at the Siobhan Davies Studios near Elephant & Castle.
