The Rambert Dance Company will move to its £19.6 million headquarters on Upper Ground, designed by Allies and Morrison, this autumn.

When it opens the building will be a state-of-the-art working, training and rehabilitation facility for the company and a centre for choreographic development, as well as serving the local community with a vastly expanded participation and engagement programme.

The tour was led by senior site manager Hannah Milner of Vinci Construction UK.

Also in attendance were Iain Tuckett and Scott Rice of Coin Street Community Builders who donated the plot of land on which the headquarters are being built.

Rambert’s new building is the first stage of the controversial Doon Street development which will include a 44-storey tower of luxury flats and a public leisure centre with swimming pool.
