The first ever London Bridge Farmers' Market attracted more than 20 traders and hundreds of shoppers.
The market will be held every Tuesday between 9am and 2pm in the Memorial Park on the Guy's Hospital campus.
All traders come from within 100 miles of the M25 and produce on sale included Thames Estuary fish, shellfish from Dorset, fruit and vegetables from Essex and bread baked in Brixton.
The market is run by London Farmers' Markets who were the original operators of the Saturday morning food market in Bermondsey Square.
