A red phone box just a stone's throw from the Shard could soon be converted into SE1's smallest coffee shop.
Thinking Outside the Box, which describes itself as a charitable trust supporting homelessness projects around the country, has applied to Southwark Council for permission to convert the grade II listed red phone box in St Thomas Street into a class A1 retail unit.
The proposed kiosk would have a trading area of just 0.8 square metres and would incorporate a coffee machine and an ice cream freezer.
Thinking Outside the Box has recently opened its first phone box coffee shop, Red Box Coffee, in Brighton.
