Sainsbury’s Local opens in Long Lane - chain’s 10th SE1 branch
Sainsbury's has opened ten mini supermarkets in SE1 in the past 12 years.
Sainsbury's Local in Long Lane opened its doors on Monday morning.
The new store occupies the former site of the Valentine pub at the corner of Long Lane and Weston Street.
Sainsbury's opened its first Local store in SE1 in March 2003 and the latest shop is the chain's tenth mini supermarket in the area.
Sainsbury's Local in Long Lane is open daily 7am to 11pm.
Flats at the Valentine development above the supermarket have been sold for more than £1 million each.
