Now you can choose to have Amazon parcels sent to Mandela Way
SE1 residents are used to involuntary trips to Mandela Way to collect parcels, but now Amazon customers can choose to have purchases sent to the Southwark & Rotherhithe delivery office without waiting for the postman to put a card through the letterbox.
Royal Mail has extended its 'Local Collect' service – already available at many Post Offices – to include more than a thousand Royal Mail delivery offices such as Mandela Way.
Amazon is the first retailer to make use of the extended Local Collect network.
"The success of Local Collect with the Post Office has shown the importance of having accessible, local options for consumers to collect their online shopping," said Nick Landon, managing director of Royal Mail Parcels.
"The extension of the network to include Royal Mail customer service points gives more options and more flexibility to consumers, making Local Collect not only the biggest but also the most convenient collection network in the UK."
