The London Fire Brigade has decorated the windows of its Union Street headquarters with historic images of fire engines and firefighters to mark the brigade's 150th anniversary.
The brigade has its headquarters in a former Royal Mail parcels sorting office in Union Street and the old loading bays at the front of the building – now glazed – bear a useful resemblance to the appliance bays of a fire station.
The windows have been used to display large-scale vinyl images representing various decades during the brigade's history.
The brigade has also announced a programme of events and fire station open days during 2016, including a rare chance to visit the pier on Albert Embankment where London's fire boats are based.
