Sainsbury's opened its twelfth food store in SE1 on Thursday with the launch of a new shop in Westminster Bridge Road.
The convenience store is located on the ground floor of the new Marlin Waterloo apart-hotel near Lambeth North Station.
The store manager is Leon Francis, who has previously worked at some of the supermarket chain's other local branches including Bermondsey Square.
"I am delighted to be working in Lambeth North and opening a brand new store for the company, and I am really looking forward to being a part of the local community and the opportunity to use my experience and skills to enhance the customer experience at Sainsbury's," said Leon Francis.
The store has selected SE1-based Safer London as its inaugural charity of the year.
