Good enough
was in The Woolpack on monday for lunch.
garden is very nice and plesant.
we both ate and shared bottle of wine.
Total price £50.

some rather strange and disinterested staff and not much product knowledge displayed. didnt see some of the old staff so maybe the new ones havent been trained yet.

both seabass and duck were over cooked but then in a pub they would pass.

wine was fine but was plonked on the table and not poured for taste. i would think if you offer table service, you should do it correctly.

overall , good enough for a pub but prob not restaurant standards. and sometimes its hard in here to work out what they want to be.
5-6 / 10 is a fair score for this visit.

It's Special at The Woolpack
Something great has happened in The Woolpack's kitchen. They have daily specials which, in my recent experience, range from being good to sublime. A recent sea bass with mange tout, bacon and Jersey Royal potatoes was excellent. Previously, cod with poached egg and bubble & squeak was fantastic. All for £12! Try it!
