Pretty good cafe!
I am a bit puzzled by the other reviews as I find Cafe Rossi pretty good. The portions are huge and I have always found the staff to be friendly and sweet. I recommend the scarmbled eggs with smoked salmon, you get heaps of salmon, and the huge Borough breakfast is a bargain!
nice breakfast
The waitress here was a bit strange, and moved us from the table we were at to another one, however the breakfast we got was very nice, everything cooked fresh, beans were a little cold, other than that is well worth a visit for a good cheap breakfast.
Worst breakfast and service in London Bridge
I ordered the full English and a black coffee today at Cafe Rossi. The waitress was a little offhand but I could deal with that, no problem. 15 minutes and two enquires later a milky coffee was dumped in front of me (it split over the table), and not replaced despite my efforts to get a black one. The breakfast turned up 25 minutes after ordering (with out the toast) and was completely inedible. I could not even get the fork into the burnt sausage!! When I went to complain the waitress immediately raised her voice at me in a tirade of abuse (and I didn't need a translator to guess what she was saying), causing the other customers to look over. It was all very embarrassing, not to mention completely unprofessional!!
a strange old place
Cafe Rossi is a strange old place, it is probabily the only place who gets offended when you place an order. I once bought a kebab from there. The man gave me a quater slice of tomato, so i asked (quite politely) for more. The obviously stragne man slammed a tomato on the counter and walked away. I will not be going back!
