Impressed
I last went to Fish! a few years ago. The place was cold, the service so-so and the food was the same.

Went again today with 3 chums for a business meeting. What a difference. Firstly, if you sat next to a window a while back, expect to be cold and sitting in a draught. No more. All is double glazed and the place was warm. Toasty.

We ordered drinks, which the lady took with a touch screen device for speed and accuracy. Spot on.

I ordered the cod and chips, which comes bundled with mushy peas. The food turned up all at the same time, although we had selected different items. Thoughtful.

The guy delivering the food knew exactly who was having what thanks to the same electronic ordering device. No mix ups.

My plate was warm (a big plus for me). The chips were industrial sized robust chip shop items - crispy outside, fluffy inside. Yum.

The fish was excellent. A very thick piece of battered cod - about 3 inches around that had proper flakes inside. Tasty.

And the mushy peas - proper ones with a good flavour. Nice.

Two of my chums had the fish pie (they reported it was tasty and very hot - I like that, cold food is not good) - and the other fella had the Tuna - he loved it. Smashing.

I was trying to think of something I did not like from today's visit and you know what? - I can't. A massive improvement from my last awful experience. Triffic.

I will be back - and well done Fish!

Fish!
My Partner and I went to Fish to end a very good day. When arriving the lady at the reception greeted us with a very warm smile and showed us to a table. After considering our order we waited and waited and waited for someone to take our drinks and food order, after sometime my partner tried to get the attention of one of the waiters on 3 separate occasions, but unfortunately was ignored(Yes he did hear us). After about 10-15 minutes I chose to walk out, but before doing so I asked to speak to the manager. When we explained our complaint, she did apologise and said that she would have a word with the waiter involved. She obviously didn't take our complaint seriously as she did not even ask us who the culprit was, so therefore who was she going to 'have a word with'. She did at no time offer us anything complimentary, but asked us where we were sitting at the time. What relevents that was I do not know, as I think she was trying to say that as we were sitting at the back the experience of being ignored was understandable. NOT GOOD Management, Not professional, and definitely a restaurant myself and partner will never visit again.
Fish! is good
To put some balance on the other review posted about Fish! in Borough Market..............

My wife and I have eaten there many times and have always found the food to be good. The staff have also been great, except the lady who seats you, who never breaks a smile. Their fish is good quality and is well cooked in a simple but effective way. The setting is also great at night with great views of the Cathedral

waste of time!
This place is a glorified fish and chip shop. I ordered the tuna burger and it had gristle in it! I only ate less than a quarter of the burger. When I told the waiting staff that I was not happy with the meal, the manager offered me complimentary desert and coffee. While this was nice, I did not think desert would be great here if they could not even do seafood properly - given their name. When the bill came, I was suprised to see that they had included the Burger! I removed the tip. They then took the wine off the bill. A good restaurant would have removed the meal, not the wine. I enjoyed the wine. The service was quite good, however I was disappointed with this place given it's location. Maybe Rick Stein needs to help them with their menu and sourcing of seafood. He had spolied me during the Easter weekend at Cornwall, however I don't think it was too much to expect quality seafood from a Fish! restaurant located in the Borough Markets.
