Reviews of Pizza Express

Pizza Express has really gone down hill fast. It has lost that 'special' feeling it once had. The service was awful, the waiter was clueless 'We don't have any kids pasta', and the pizzas are much smaller and thicker than they used to be. Will lnot go again. Such a shame - I guess the chain has new owners?

We waited for 25 minutes to be seated last night. Noone spoke to us or even acknowledged our presence. We weren't told anything and were completely ignored by all staff, even those who passed right by, including the apparent manageress. So too were the ever growing queue behind us. We left without even having managed eye contact with the staff, let alone any conversation. The prospect of getting to eat there vanished after about 15 minutes but we waited a further 10 minutes before giving up and leaving. We won't return and wouldn't recommend anyone try the place. A massive, massive let down from a usually very reliable chain. Let's hope it closes to be replaced by something better. It is a blight on the otherwise great river front.
