Once seated and unprompted, I received some fresh baguette slices and butter. Yummy.
I also received 3 fresh prawns, which I pealed and ate with gusto. Super.
I ordered a (large) tuna and chips.
The chips were those big fat crispy ones, not the weedy McD's crap - and super hot like escapees from a volcano, not cold and limp like a royal handshake. Lovely.
The tuna had been cooked on a griddle to perfection - complete with brown sear lines. Smashing.
As usual, the lady offered me pickles - I went for a gherkin and a pickled onion. Marvellous.
Managed to chug a bottle of Becks too. Aaaah.
Total cost - £11-30. Bargain.
There are some times when only fish and chips will do. For those times, Masters is the place.
