A suprisingly good cafe
Well I thought I'd try out Al's. It's pretty unpretentious but much nicer than The Cat and Cucumber as one of its nearest competitors. The atmosphere was clean and fresh (as much as it can be in a café!) as was the decor I went for the lasagne and was given just that, a good quality lasagne with fluffy bechamel sauce and crisp chips. I was also given a very good side salad that wasn’t just a garnish but a reasonable portion of Greek salad. This came to £4.50, £5 with a Coke. All the other food being served looked fresh and pleasant. I would go again!
