Good food, expensive wine
Two of us went for dinner at The Table on Friday night. The starter and main course meals were good and reasonably priced - but the WINE was not good.

The 2 x lowest price bottles were "unavailable" - and the remainder started at £25 per bottle, which was not consistent with the food prices

The wine list needs to be changed by the restaurant - as this I think will put people off from going

We shall being trying the weekend brunch in a couple of weeks time so will be interested to see how it goes !

Really Good
Went to the Table on Saturday night with my partner having meant to go for some time. The food was really good and fresh and I really couldn't find fault in it. Starter of peas with feta and peppers was great, using fresh peas. Main of pork belly with lentils was fantastic. Nice large piece of pork, crispy skin and good meat to fat ratio. My girlfriend said her fish dish was really good too. The take the Taste card on a saturday so on the mains it was BOGOF. Wine was good and not too badly priced. Live music was being played and that was really good, not too loud to detract away from personal conversations. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.
No connection etc.
disappointing
Very chichi(pretentious). The food is good much the portions are not huge. You get a big plate with very little in it. It is only worth it if you have a discount!
I will not come back.
Good first time experience!
The Table is one of those places that my wife and I have been mentioning - seemingly for years - that we "must get organised and go to one weekend". Finally this weekend, we did and were very satisfied.

Zipping by quickly on the bus, you can't help but feel as you glance at the restaurant that it's just an extension of the architects' office next door. However, on walking in, you're met with a friendly, buzzing mood and equally friendly staff. The food is terrific (the Table Stack was our favourite...!) and there is a good selection of coffees and juices. A great place to lose yourself with a newspaper, or in discussion with others.

Top Table
This place really is fantastic.

Three of us went Friday evening. The atmosphere is sleak and modern, but warm. The service is attentive, friendly and relaxed. The menu full of delicious choices - great if you like fish, perfect if you like meat. The portions are well judged and elegantly presented. Whilst we did not have any desert - we spotted a chocolate creation on another diner's plate which was mouth watering from afar! Oh, and to add to the glory - fair prices. The last time I went for a dinner I could not fault was so long ago I cannot remember. This place get GaryS' *****!
