Mixed experience
On Sunday night we tried the Wagamama on Bankside to take advantage of a two-for-one deal on main meals. The service was good and so was the food (predictably). However, we foolishly ordered a starter of "gyozo" and at £4.50 for 5 small dumplings, it worked out at nearly £1 each. So - if you want good value, stick to the deals and avoid the extras!
Another cracking meal
As usual, had a lovely meal last week at Waga's. Time Out magazine has its usual 2-for-1 offer each week during summer, making it a bargain dinner (buy one main course, get one main course free). We go there for the food but also because the staff are lovely and make you feel welcome with a 6 month old baby in a buggy. Could not fault the food, service or staff, and at £27 for two with a beer, glass of wine and some dumplings it's the best summer bargain in London! (note, you can't use the voucher at the Waga's under the Royal Festival Hall).
