Dropped into Mumbai last night for a curry fix and enjoyed a very nice chicken xacutti (Goan style with lots of coconut cream, delicious!) and chicken korai. We also tried a side dish of lentil & vegetables, which was equally tasty. Happy to recommend to SE1'ers.

Hadn't been for a while - and some places can change since last visit so had fingers crossed. Pleased to say that Mumbai is still delivering the goods. Good solid Indian food, well cooked at great prices. Four popadoms with the usual sauces to start - very nice. I had Lamb Dhansak with egg fried rice - excellent. Great flavours and prefect rice. My friend had the lamb shank (Kursi lamb) - very tender and loads of it. I like the small touches like the good old keep-the-food-warm thingy with 2 candles inside, don't see those too often now. Anyway, all the above food plus a beer £36. Oh, and the guys in there are still very polite. No more to say really.

This review is posted purely as a satisfied customer. I have no other connection with this small restaurant. All I wanted to say is that it is an excellent Indian restaurant with extraordinarily polite staff. It is nearly always quiet - which I like. I think the reason is that the bulk of its business is home delivery. The staff are continually coming and going with orders when I eat there! My only fear is that the restaurant itself will become busier as a result of this review!

Ten of us had our Xmas do here last night. We had pre-ordered Chicken Tikka, Madras and some side dishes for 10. The food was first class - spiced just right and very fresh. Rice was spot on. The nans were superb, fresh, and hot from the oven. Our waiters were very good - attentive but not intrusive. The place is quiet intimate - I reckon 20 folks tops. Nice and warm too on a cold night - no drafts when the door opens. All in all a top place. Recommended.

Our expereince was really bad. I visited with my freind after having few drinks at my place. We ordered 2 side dishes and few breads along with papadoms and chutney. They refused to serve without being main dish ordered. What is the differnce ordering 2 side and 1 main?????? So if you are not hungry enough this is the worst place.
