Disgusting
Just treated myself to fish & chips from here,The fish was the worse I have ever had it was so mashed together it was like mash Potatoes in Batter what a waste of money as put it in the bin.
Wow!
I'm surprised by the reviews here. I have bought fish and chips twice from here, for me and my family and they were excellent. The most recent time was about a month ago. Our two toddlers loved it and thought it was a real treat! Maybe I just got lucky both times, smelly/old fish doesn't sound good though.

I have to say that I disagree with the post on long lane fish bar. That place really is terrible. Soggy chips that give everyone terrible flatulance! Fish batter not great and grumpy staff! I haven't been to Ollie's though so might give that one a try next. A good fish n chip shop is hard to find these days!

Not great
This place is wasted on itself. I have been twice: once for fish and chipd and the fish was so gruesome and old that as I recall we binned it, and last night for a measly portion of chips. Ther are decent chip shops in SE1, visit Long Lane fish bar (Gt Dover St) or Olly's on Great Suffolk Street. They are far better and the staff actually know their trade. This place as rubbish and I would not recommend it.
Disgusting
We wanted a fish and chip takeaway. Well NEVER AGAIN. It ended up in the bin. It was horrible, horrible stuff. Waste of money. I had a chicken wrap and it didnt even taste like chicken yukkkk!
DONT GO THERE
Revolting!
I ordered a takeaway fish n chips from here last night and it's quite possibly the worst meal I've ever attempted to eat!!! The chips were like rubber, the fish was totally over cooked. They messed up our order so I got home to find I had one haddock in breadcrumbs, I went back to try and get my proper order and the staff were rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend - our dinner ended up in the bin!
Hmm... ok
This is one of those places where you go the first time and think it's pretty good, but subsequent visits disappoint. It's not that bad, but if you're a fish and chip shop, you have a limited menu and you should do it well. Chips are supposed to be crispy and at these prices your fish should be fried fresh and never overcooked. Also, surely you would expect proper tartar sauce rather that that slimy vinegary stuff you get in plastic packets?
fish not fresh
Had fish and chips from Micky's fish bar in Borough last night. The chips were okay but the fish was old and had an extremely unpleasant smell - which made me throw it away uneaten. If a cafe selling fish and chips cannot even supply customers with fresh fish I do not think it is likely to survive very long.
