This year's Waterloo Carnival has an aliens theme.
With a procession of more than 300 people aged 2 to 82 taking place at 1.30pm (Johanna Primary School to Waterloo Millennium Green via Westminster Bridge Road. Mini Museum workshops will be taking place from 1pm with the opportunity to “Make Your Own Alien".
Activities will carry on into the evening with live music outside Cubana from 1pm and a music and cabaret stage hosted by Timberlina at Walrus Social from 6pm to 8.30pm.
The event engages more than 500 local residents in creative activity with outreach programmes targeted at the Under 5s & over 65s and all pupils at Johanna Primary School making their own costumes.
A giant UFO made by local children will be landing in Waterloo Library on Thursday 2 July to mark the beginning of the celebrations.
