Thames Water will this week hold a three-day exhibition in Bermondsey of its latest proposals for the controversial Thames Tunnel (aka 'super sewer').
The Imperial War Museum has received the Heritage Lottery Fund's initial backing for its proposals to create a new set of First World War galleries to coincide with the centenary of the outbreak of the conflict.
For the fourth year a Christmas market is being held on the Thames Path along the South Bank between Jubilee Gardens and Waterloo Bridge.
2012 - the year of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Olympic Games - will begin with a fireworks display centred on the London Eye, the Mayor of London has confirmed.
Members of the Friends of Archbishop's Park joined council staff and contractors on Friday to celebrate the completion of a project to restore a wooden shelter in SE1's biggest park.
The Fénix 2 capsule created in a naval shipyard for the rescue of 33 miners trapped 700 metres underground in a Chilean mine last year has been put on display in Albert Embankment.
