Spectators rushed to grab bookmarks printed with poems as they were dropped from a helicopter on to the South Bank's Jubilee Gardens on Tuesday night.
The City of London Academy in Lynton Road is proposing to create a multi-academy trust with Redriff Primary School, with the City of London Corporation extending its sponsorship to include the Rotherhithe primary school.
More than 200 representatives of local business took part in a charity quiz organised by Southwark College earlier this month.
To mark the end of Jerwood Visual Arts' Assembly exhibition, artist Charlie Woolley led a banner making workshop on Sunday which concluded in a banner drop outside the Jerwood Space building.
The Armed Forces Day flag is flying this week at City Hall and Southwark Council's Tooley Street offices.
