More than 200 representatives of local business took part in a charity quiz organised by Southwark College earlier this month.
The quiz night raised more than £3000 for FareShare, a Bermondsey-based charity that combats hunger and food waste by rescuing surplus food and getting it to people in need.
Participants included representatives of Southwark Works, Remploy, Tate Modern, Borough Market, Costain, JTL London, Gardenerco and the Beyond Food Foundation.
The event at the college's Waterloo Centre in The Cut was organised in collaboration with Bob Noseda from Mace Construction and doubled up as a networking opportunity for the college to forge stronger lungs with the communities it serves.
The money raised came from both ticket sales and a charity auction led by Simon Hughes MP.
