Locals should be consulted on secondary school - council leader

The community should be "fully consulted" about the future operator of a secondary 'free school' proposed for part of the former Southwark Fire Station, the leader of the council has said.

Police raid Bermondsey cannabis factory and seize 90 plants

90 cannabis plants seized by police officers in Bermondsey are to be destroyed.

Bankside Quarter: Ludgate & Sampson site sold for £308 million

Ludgate House and Sampson House next to Blackfriars Bridge have been sold by their American owners to a consortium led by Malaysian and Singaporean investors.
