First SE1 schools announce partial closures due to COVID-19 crisis
The Ark Walworth Academy off Old Kent Road has become the first state school in SE1 to announce a partial shutdown due to the COVID-19 emergency. The City of London Academy is also asking one year group to study at home.
Southbank Centre shuts all its venues
"We look forward to welcoming you back. Soon, we hope." That's the message from Southbank Centre as it shuts its venues.
Borough Market: we're staying open
Borough Market says that it remains open for business after taking a series of hygiene and public health initiatives to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Firefighters tackle blaze on Bermondsey's Harold Estate

Cllr Peter John has announced that he has delayed his resignation as leader of Southwark Council and chair of capital-wide body London Councils to ensure continuity of response to the COVID-19 crisis.
