Disturbance at Ministry of Sound - police appeal

Southwark Police are appealing for information following an assault and violent disorder at the Ministry of Sound nightclub.

Police were called at about 2am on Thursday 20 July to the club in Gaunt Street at the Elephant and Castle to reports of a serious disturbance. At the scene they found a large group of people engaged in the disturbance.

A 19-year-old man suffered severe head injuries and was taken to a south London hospital for treatment but has now been released.

Police recovered a set of golf clubs from the premises and are examining CCTV footage from the area.

The seven men and one woman were arrested on Saturday 26 July. They have been bailed to return, pending further investigations.

The incident is being investigated by Southwark CID.
