The organisers of the second annual festival to be held in Tanner Street Park are still keen to hear from anyone with ideas to help make the day a real celebration of local talent.

The second Bermondsey Street Festival will be held on Saturday 13 September and will build on the success of the inaugural event held in 2007.

The Bermondsey Street Area Partnership wants to hear suggestions for music/entertainment, fashion/models, stalls and childrens' activities.

Music/entertainment & volunteers: Contact Angela Fordham [email protected]
"We are looking for all sorts of entertainment ideas; from bands to single vocal artists, performance artists, close-up magic....etc."

"Please also contact Angela if you would like to volunteer to lend a hand on the day. We need as many people as possible to help for all or part of the event.

"Please let us know roughly when you could be available (morning/afternoon/evening or any combination of the three) and if you are able to help with physical jobs such as moving hay bales, putting up tents etc or would prefer less taxing tasks of which there will be many!"

Fashion Show participants: Contact Katrina de Massey [email protected]
"Emphasis on showcasing local talent – from clothes, shoes and fashion accessories to hair and make-up."

Retail/Stall-holders: Contact Sarah Wyndham Lewis [email protected]
"Again emphasis on local talent if possible – quality/artisanal/handmade/creative.
Food stalls £100. All other stalls £50."
