Old Kent Road firefighter Ryland Culling is gearing up for the London Marathon 2010.
27-year-old Ryland, from Chichester in West Sussex, will be running the Marathon on Sunday 25 April and hopes to raise as much cash as possible for Get Kids Going!, a charity that helps young disabled children get into sport.
"I've always been an active person, and it's nice to know that with our help disabled children can also enjoy an active lifestyle," says Ryland, who is based at Old Kent Road fire station.
Ryland will be running the Marathon with his dad Kevin, aged 53.
Ryland said: "It's been a personal goal of ours for a few years now and this year we've decided to run together. We hope to raise around £2,000 through sponsorship from family, friends and colleagues, and would like to complete the marathon in under five hours."
