More than 200 guests attended the Mayor of Southwark's charity ball event held at Vinopolis last Saturday evening.
The annual charity ball was one of the final events of Cllr Lorraine Lauder's year as the borough's first citizen.
The Mayor was joined by some of those who had run the London Marathon in support of her chosen charities, including council leader Peter John and council officers.
During her year in office Cllr Lauder has been raising funds for the rheumatology department at King's College Hospital and the Southwark People Care Association.
"The charity ball event was a great success and everyone enjoyed everything on offer that evening," said Cllr Lauder.
"I'm extremely touched by the generous support received for my chosen charities and confident that they will both benefit immensely from all the fundraising efforts."
The borough's next Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be elected at the council's annual meeting on Wednesday night in the atrium of the authority's de facto town hall in Tooley Street.
