Borough Market hosts community Christmas lunch for older locals
More than 100 older Southwark residents sat down to lunch in the Jubilee Market at Borough Market on Sunday at the market's annual Christmas event for the local community.
Groups represented at the lunch included Blackfriars Settlement, Southwark Irish Pensioners Project and Southwark Circle. Residents of Hopton's Almshouses also joined in.
From this Thursday the market will be open daily until Christmas Eve.
Thu 15 December: 11am-5pm
Fri 17 December: 12 noon-6pm
Sat 17 December: 8am-5pm
Sun 18 December: 12 noon-4pm
Mon 19 December: 10am-5pm
Tue 20 December: 10am-5pm
Wed 21 December: 10am-5pm
Thu 22 December: 10am-5pm
Fri 23 December: 10am-6pm
Sat 24 December: 8am-3pm
