BT launches River Thames wifi service
BT has installed new wireless internet access points along the River Thames, including at piers on the SE1 riverside.
BT has installed more than 100 access points along a 27-mile stretch of the river. Locations include the London Eye Millennium Pier, Bankside Pier and London Bridge City Pier.
"We're giving Londoners and visitors as many places as possible to get online, keep in touch, work and share their experiences of the exciting events happening across London." said Andy Baker, BT Wi-fi CEO.
The BT Wi-fi service at Thames piers complements the Wifi Hotzone service already provided in association with Thames Clippers.
