St John Ambulance has launched a series of First Aid at Work training courses at a new venue close to Borough Underground Station.
The leading first aid charity has already signed up more than 70 people for its first courses at InTuition House in Borough High Street.
"We've been delighted to see a big increase in demand for first aid training from London businesses over the last 12 months," said regional training manager Pete Huckle.
"In the light of this increase we felt this area of the capital was under-served in terms of training facilities and we wanted to make it easier for local firms to meet their responsibility to ensure adequate first aid cover in the workplace.
"The new venue at London Bridge is in an excellent location, very close to a key transport hub and many businesses.
"We're confident local firms will see this as a real benefit, with their staff having to take less time out of their busy work schedules to learn to essential first aid.
"Being equipped with these vital skills can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved."
The new venue means St John Ambulance now has 17 first aid training centres across London.
One-day emergency First Aid at Work courses will be held at the London Bridge venue on various dates running up to Christmas. Further dates will be available in 2013.
