Borough Market launches ‘shop & drop’ scheme and green minicab hire

The Shop & Drop services is based in Jubilee Place and offers large, refrigerated storage boxes, which can be rented for up to three hours at a cost of £5.

Shoppers will be able to drop off their purchases and go on to shop or dine locally without having to lug their shopping about with them.

Also based in Jubilee Place is the new Green CT Cars service which provides shoppers with minicab hire if their purchases are too heavy to take home by public transport. The service – which is run by a social enterprises and uses hybrid vehicles – is available Monday-Saturday 11am-4pm.

• Shoppers with mobility difficulties can also use a wheeled, pull along shopping cart which is available from the market information office in Three Crown Square.
