Tesco Express opens in Baylis Road, Waterloo
A new Tesco Express convenience store has opened at the junction of Baylis Road and Murphy Street in Waterloo.
The new store is open from 7am to 11pm seven days a week.
Tesco's plans for a cash machine were rejected by Lambeth Council due to concerns about public safety.
A three-bedroom duplex penthouse apartment above the Tesco Express store is currently on the market for £1,850,000.
600 metres away from the Baylis Road shop, hoardings in the Tesco corporate colours have now been erected around the former Costcutter store in The Cut which is also to become a Tesco Express.
The Co-operative Food plans to open a store at the Westminster Bridge Road end of Lower Marsh next year.
