A new weekend market launched in Waterloo's Lower Marsh on Saturday.
The new market takes place in Lower Marsh every Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
"Local people have told us how much they want to have the opportunity to buy more fresh produce in Waterloo and we think that the new Lower Marsh Saturday Market will really deliver on this," said Helen Santer, chief executive of Waterloo Quarter BID.
"This is a cracking little street with great independent shops and the new market will give people even more reason to visit."
Market manager Emily Reed said: "This is a market of good honest food.
"Our producers can't be here all week because they're too busy growing, curing, planting, baking, pressing, sourcing and farming.
"We've got plenty of 'London food names' taking part like Konditor & Cook, and two of the businesses that gave Brixton village its reputation as a food hot spot: Cornercopia and Cannon and Cannon.
"They'll be in the same place as Stoke Newington's fish smoker Hansen & Lydersen and raw almond milk producer The Pressery's first venture on to the market scene."
