The Jubilee Gardens Trust is inviting local businesses and residents' organisations to become members of the body which manages the popular South Bank park.
"The Jubilee Gardens Trust works to ensure that the gardens are maintained to the highest standard and to promote policies and initiatives that encourage participation from local stakeholders," said chairman Ted Inman.
"We are now keen to expand our membership base to achieve a wider representation from local businesses and residents' groups and to build up local involvement in the future of this key local open space."
Trustees are appointed from three constituencies of members of the trust: local residents' groups, local businesses and major local landowners.
Membership of the trust is open to businesses and residents' organisations in the area from Lambeth Bridge to Blackfriars Bridge, and south to St George's Circus.
The membership subscription for companies and social enterprises is £25 per annum and for residents' groups only £5 a year.
An event for prospective members will be held at the St Paul's Pavilion at the Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday 15 July.
Registration for the event is now open – local businesses or organisations who would like to be represented should contact the Trust by emailing [email protected] or calling 020 7202 6900.
