A Sainsbury's Local convenience store is to open at the corner of Tower Bridge Road and Queen Elizabeth Street as part of Berkeley Homes's One Tower Bridge development.
Planning applications have been submitted to Southwark Council for the shopfront of the proposed mini supermarket which will have its main entrance on Queen Elizabeth Street.
The store forms part of the One Tower Bridge development on the former Potters Fields coach park site. Homes in the Berkeley Homes scheme are on the market for up to £15 million.
There are currently six Sainsbury's Local stores in SE1 with a further three in the pipeline, including the One Tower Bridge store.
Next week Southwark Council's planning committee will decide on proposals for a Sainsbury's Local store in Great Dover Street.
