Brexit backer Kate Hoey MP answers critics amid by-election calls

In an interview with the London SE1 website Kate Hoey MP has responded to critics of her pro-Brexit stance who are calling for her to resign and trigger a by-election.

Vauxhall Labour MP Kate Hoey was a leading voice in the campaign for Britain to leave the European Union, despite voters in Lambeth overwhelmingly voting in favour of the 'remain' cause.

Nearly 600 people have signed a petition calling on Hoey to resign and trigger a by-election.

Almost 200 people have signed another petition urging Vauxhall Labour Party to deselect the MP.

We caught up with Kate Hoey on Tuesday morning and asked her about the state of the UK five days after the referendum, the turmoil at the top of the Labour Party and her response to those petitioning for her removal.
